It has been a while, i know... Since i have unintentionally sent the link via office mail, i closed the blog from public eyes... i am opening it again today...
Happened sometimes in November, after 4 years of waiting, I have got the chance, not yet the post itself, but an interview for a position in KL... Alhamdulillah... the journey starts on that dot i believe...and today, refering to my previous post... i had been given the chance to apply in the MOR... should have been a great news, but as this same issue was the cause of my 4 weeks depression, thus far, i still have no idea of how to react...
Semalam, i brought Irdina to Klinik Harmoni to get her Pneumococcus vaccine... Had to pay from own pocket though... cost me RM280, but worth it if this could prevent her from getting those diseases caused by invasive pneumococcal infections which include pneumonia, meningitis and febrile bacteremia; or the common non-invasive manifestations like otitis media, sinusitis and bronchitis. I am just doing what is right at this point in time (call it trying if you want), and hoping that all goes well... hoping that she stays healthy through old age.
Also happened yesterday... i finished a paper in less than half a day for last minute submission... and for walk in next Tuesday committee sitting. Both CAC and I will be on leave and out of Miri on the day... we'll have to present through teleconference then... hoping for the best. I just hope for the paper to be approved...
These 2 weeks, i had been very busy with work... year end closing of accounts (by our cost planner & team of course), meaning lots of extra sidekicks to do apart from my own tasks.
I have left this entry for too long that i have forgotten of what to write in it... let me just outline what was in my mind while writing this nearly a month ago:
1. Aedun got engaged. (shouldn't have been no. 1 bcos this happened in May).
2.
3.
4.
Ohhh my goodness... since when did i lost my long term memory drives? I have been recognised as someone with a vast long term memory storage, and look what happened now... arghhh... misplaced maybe... will update again as soon as these memory come to the surface of my mind again.

Chance
I have been given the chance to apply the MOR... hoping for the best... but after what i have been through these past few months, what i have discovered... i am ready for anything...

Baiknya anak mama...
Nina,
Tiba-tiba Irdina menyapa mama, "mama, mama pun"... mama tak perasan apa yang nina nak masa tu, lalu mama pun jawab, "kenapa?"... nina ulang semula, "nah, mama pun"... Irdina tunjukkan pada mama sehiris buah mempelam... Mama pun cakap, "makanlah"... Irdina masih juga kata, "mama pun"...
Tetiba, hirisan mempelam tu jatuh, "o-oh, gogok dahnya"...

Tired...
I am so tired... of all these efforts... Need to maintain my work life balance.
It's 12.08pm... i should have gone to the BS house to visit Irdina, and here I am, so much absorbed in my work. I stopped for a while to write in here, expecting relief, but feeling none...
Will be having meeting with The Manager this afternoon about my transfer window... if there is a window. Or, i might just create a hole in the wall and jump to the other side of the fence the soonest possible. But, can i sustain, with meager savings adding to the stress? grrrr... Ok, i am jumping the gun too early now... wait for the result of this afternoon meeting then... Hoping for the best and be prepared for the worst... I dont want to be feeling the same as what i have endured before the interview.
As of now... wait and see! Till then...

Hari Raya Haji...
Sepu and I thought of celebrating in Miri, and invite some of our friends for makan-makan kecil, but suddenly yesterday, my parents missing my daughter so much syndrome was getting so hard to dismiss that they have made the decision to sponsor our air tickets Myy-Kch-Myy...
They have been thinking of coming to Miri for quite sometimes, but later on, the plan was deemed as impractical and "not to be entertained" anymore... As, Dedek would be left in Kuching alone because she has just started working, while Aedun would find it hard to choose between Miri and Kuching.
So, we are coming back Kuching this Raya Haji... & my parents is going to pay for the tickets yeayyy...

Kisah irdina ni, kalau nak diceritakan memang panjang. Tempo the Ti I I I ger memang lagu favorite dia sekarang ni, selain daripada Twinkle Twinkle Little Star... kalau kita dah nyanyikan sekali, sure dia demand "agik"... Kalau dengar music rancak, especially dance music, mulalah badan dan kepala bergoyang ikut irama...
Balik kepada cerita di Kuching... kami sampai hari Khamis, malam... balik rumah, terus tidur sebab kepenatan. Esok paginya, mama irdina dah janji dengan tukang urut, nak berurut seluruh badan... fuiyo, 4 jam... sungguh sedap rasa badan... Irdina pun sampai tertidur kat sebelah mama sebab penat sangat menunggu, main sorang2... kesian anak mama... tapi sporting sungguhla irdina, thank you. Lepas berurut, hajat hati nak tidur, tapi apakan dayaku, susah sungguh nak tidur siang, jadi mama baring-baring je sebelah irdina sambil 'membaca' catalogue :p
Malamnya, babah irdina balik, sampai Kuching dalam 12.00am (dah kira the next day sebenarnya)... irdina tak ikut amik kat airport sebab dia dah tidur pukul 11.00mlm... Kat Kuching, waktu tidur irdina memang dah tak keruan, sebab dia asyik nak main je, lagipun ramai la pulak orang2 yang sanggup melayannya bermain.
Hajat hati kami nak buat semuanya as surprise, but akhirnya terpaksa jugakla pecah satu rahsia - baju kurung utk konvo... takleh nak memilih kat butik tu, banyak sangat choice sampai rambang mata, lagipun takut tak kena dengan taste orang yang nak memakainya. Bucu pilih baju kurung warna purple yang sangat cantik and buatkan dia nampak sangat slim.
Hari Ahad, bermula seawal mungkin. Bucu ke Four Points Hotel dulu, sementara Atuk, Nenek and Ami Aedun pergi ke rumah kawan Babah, yang baru meninggal petang semalamnya. Innalillah... Mereka pergi sekejap je, lepas tu, Aedun hantar mama and babah ke hotel pulak, sementara Sepu, Irdina and I memulakan ekspedisi mencari bunga... kami beli 3 jambak bunga, 1 daisy, 1 chrysanthemum, 1 red roses...
Tak sempat pun menghadiri upacara sebab terpaksa amik Dek Ina and Edos di Semariang, grrr geram gak kenapa dorang tak plan awal2. Tapi kami sampai sejurus selepas upacara selesai, semasa mereka sedang seronok mengambil gambar beramai2... Bucu was really surprised and rasa nak nangis to receive the 3 bouquets of flowers... ditambah dengan 1 teddy bear + 1 kuma-kuma... Sempat juga kami mengambil gambar keluarga, apart from gambar solo dedek dengan diplomanya... Will paste them here soon.
Babah Irdina balik ke KL malam tu... irdina macam dah tahu apa maknanya babah masuk ke dalam balai berlepas tu... dia menangis dengan kuat, taknak lepaskan babahnya... dan seperti biasa, nangis tu cuma gimik kot, supaya babahnya tak pergi... but, bila babahnya pergi jugak walaupun dia menangis, dia pun terusla melambai sambil menjerit sekuat hati, "babai babah, babai babah"... manatak orang yang melihatnya geram...
Hari Isnin, mama mulakan pagi dengan menghantar Bucu ke Training Centre... sure heran orang tengok hantar adik kerja pun siap peluk2 bagai... pedulikan apa orang kata! Lepas tu mama ke kubur Arruh Eddie... Balik ke rumah, bermulalah aktiviti mengemas barang, nak balik Miri :( Irdina macam tau je nak balik... Atuk pulak mula menjauhkan diri, takut rindu. Macam tu lah selalunya, dia takkan layan Irdina setiap last day kat Kuching... dia kata, "takut Irdina tercari2", padahal i know that dia takut dia yang tercari2.
Bermulalah minggu2 sunyi hingga babah balik Miri in 3 weeks time... kesian irdina, kesian mama!

Pagi ini...
Pagi tadi masa nak hantar irdina ke rumah babysitter, cum on the way nak pegi kerja, adala sebuah kereta tu undur nak keluar dr kawasan rumah...

The Irreplaceable Void
I received this in my email this afternoon... A story worth sharing:
4 years ago, an accident took my beloved away and very often I wonder, how does my wife, who is now in the heavenly realm, feel right now? She must be feeling extremely sad for leaving a husband who is incapable to taking care of the house and the kid. 'cos that is the exact feeling that I have, as I feel that I have failed to provide for the physical and emotional needs of my child, and failed to be the dad and mum for my child.
There was one particular day, when I had an emergency at work. Hence, I had to leave home whilst my child was still sleeping. So thinking that there was still rice leftovers, I hastily cooked an egg and left after informing my sleepy child.
With the double roles, I am often exhausted at work as well as when I am home. So after a long day, I came home, totally drained of all energy. So with just a brief hug and kiss for my child, I went straight into the room, skipping dinner. However, when I jumped into my bed with intention of just having a well-deserved sleep, all I heard and felt was broken porcelain and warm liquid! I flipped open my blanket, and there lies the source of the 'problem'... a broken bowl with instant noodles and a mess on the bedsheet and blanket!
Boy, was I mad! I was so furious that I took a clothes hanger, charged straight at my child who was happily playing with his toy, and give him a good spanking! He merely cried but not asking for mercy, except a short explanation: "Dad, I was hungry and there wasn't anymore leftover rice. But you were not back yet, hence I wanted to cook some instant noodles. But I remembered you reminding me not to touch or use the gas stove without any adults around, hence I turned on the shower and used the hot water from the bathroom to cook the noodles. One is for you and the other is for me. However, I was afraid that the noodles will turn cold, so I hid it under the blanket to keep it warm till you return. But I forgot to remind you 'cos I was playing with my toys...I am sorry Dad..."
At that moment, tears were starting to run down my cheeks...but I didn't want my son to see his dad crying so I dashed into the bathroom and cried with the shower head on to mask my cries. After that episode, I went towards my son to give him a tight hug and applied medication on him, while coaxing him to sleep. Then, it was time to clear up the mess on the bed. When everything was done and well past midnight , I passed my son's room, and saw that he was still crying, not from the pain on his little buttock, but from looking at the photograph of his beloved mummy.
A year has passed since the episode, I have tried, in this period, to focus on giving him both the love of his dad and mum, and to attend to most of his needs. And soon, he is turning seven, and will be graduating from kindergarten. Fortunately, the incident did not leave a lasting impression on his childhood memories and he is still happily growing up.
However, not so long ago, I hit my boy again, with much regret. This time, his kindergarten teacher called, informing me of my son's absence from school. I took off early from work and went home, expecting him to explain. But he wasn't to be found, so I went around our house, calling out his name and eventually found him outside a stationery shop, happily playing computer games. I was fuming, brought him home and whack the hell out of him. He did not retaliate, except to say, 'I am sorry, Dad'.
But after much probing, I realized that it was a 'Talent Show' organized by his school and the invite is for every student's mummy. And that was the reason for his absence as he has no mummy.....
Few days after the caning, my son came home to tell me, the kindergarten has recently taught him how to read and write. Since then, he has kept to himself and stayed in his room to practice his writing, which I am sure, would make my wife proud, if she was still around 'cos he makes me proud too!
Time passes by very quickly, and soon another year has passed. It's winter, and its Christmas time. Everywhere the Christmas spirit is in every passer-by...Christmas carols and frantic shoppers....but alas, my son got into another trouble. When I was about to knock off from the day's work, the post office called. Due to the peak season, the post master was also on an edgy mood. He called to tell me that my son has attempted to post several letters with no addressee.
Although I did make a promise never to hit my son again, I couldn't help but to hit him as I feel that this child of mine is really beyond control. Once again, as before, he apologized, ' I'm sorry, Dad' and no additional reason to explain.
I pushed him towards a corner, went to the post office to collect the letters with no addressee and came home, and angrily questioned my son on his prank, during this time of the year. His answer, amidst his sobbing, was : The letters were for Mummy. My eyes grew teary, but I tried to control my emotions and continued to ask him: "But why did u post so many letters, at one time?" My son's reply was: " I have been writing to mummy for a long time, but each time I reach out for the post box, it was too high for me, hence I was not able to post the letters. But recently, when I went back to the postbox, I could reach it and I sent it all at once..."
After hearing this, I was lost. Lost at not knowing what to do, what to say..... I told my son, " Son, mummy is in the heavenly kingdom, so in future, if you have anything to tell her, just burn the letter and it will reach mummy. My son, on hearing this, was much pacified and calm, and soon after, he was sleeping soundly.
On promising that I will burn the letters on his behalf, I brought the letters outside, but couldn't help opening the letter before they turn to ash. And one of the letters broke my heart.... Dear Mummy, I miss you so much! Today, there was a 'Talent Show' in school, and the school invited all mothers for the show. But you are not around, so I did not want to participate as well. I did not tell Dad about it as I was afraid that Dad would start to cry and miss you all over again. Dad went around looking for me, but in order to hide my sadness, I sat in front of the computer and started playing games at one of the shops. Dad was furious, and he couldn't help it but scolded and hit me, but I did not tell him the real reason. Mummy, everyday I see Dad missing you and whenever he think of you, he is so sad and often hide and cry in his room. I think we both miss you very very much. Too much for our own good I think. But Mummy, I am starting to forget your face. Can you please appear in my dreams so that I can see your face and remember you? I heard that if you fall asleep with the photograph of the person whom you miss, you will see the person in your dreams. But mummy, why haven't you appear?
After reading the letter, I cant stop sobbing. 'cos I can never replace the irreplaceable gap left behind by my wife....
For the females with children: Don't do so much overtime. If you cannot finish the work, it must be some kind of problems within the company, and it is not your sole problem. Feedback to your boss. Endless overtime may not necessary be the answer to the problem. Take care of your health so that you can treasure and take care of your little precious.
For the married men: Drink less, smoke less, cos nothing can replace your good health, not even business nor clients. Try thinking this way, are you able to work till your clients are totally dependent on you? or your boss is totally dependent on you? In this society, no one is indispensable. Take care of your health, so that you can take care of your little precious and your loved ones.
For those singles out there: Beauty lies in loving yourself first. With confidence and loving yourself, you will see the beauty in other things around you. You will be able to work better and happier. Don't let your health be affected by your work or your boss, so nothing matters more than your well being.

Mama gogok?
Last night, lepas balik dari farewell dinner LQ Team, dan lepas mengelap badan Irdina yang melekit2 ditumpah makanan dan minuman, mulalah aktivitiku menidurkannya (sometimes a difficult task, but sometimes senangla pulak). Bila tengok Irdina pejam je, I quietly stepped down from the bed and mulakan exercise untuk kurangkan sakit belakang yang since tadi tersangatla menyiksakan. Setelah dengan jayanya menghilangkan terus kesakitan dengan senaman yang aku belajar masa aerobik, aku pun apalagi, bangunla… tetiba je tengok muka Irdina terjengol kat sebalik bantal peluknya, melopong seolah terkejut sambil berkata, “aaaa, mama tido, gogok, tacit”… I was like, ‘alahai anak mama, baiknya!!!’ Aku terus peluk dia and said, “neyda mama gogok, tapi mama sakit”… aku cium dia, dia cium balik… lagilah ‘alahai anak mama’… nampaknya Irdina dah mula tunjukkan compassion and empathy… good girl anak mama… muahhhh…

Driver Driver Wherefore Art Thou, Please Come Home!
I couldn't find the drive to work? Wherever you are driver, please come back.
Is this laziness the side effect of long raya leave? Or was it the uncertainties due to the transition the cause? What i know is that, i have this feeling of worries inside me, that i could not let out, leave aside letting go! Nobody knows whats going to happen within these 3 remaining months. I have a CBD that stated only Awareness for all th elements, certainly getting it done like that was a mistake... but Boss is always right! Sure? I need to beef up the CBD, before my round of MOR.
Please please please come back driver, wherefore art thou...

Sweeping Malaysian?

Amin...

Fening dan lain-lain...
Pening kepala la pulak pagi ni. Manataknya... makan macam tak hengat... sahur td, makan Big Apple nye donut sampai 3... salah satunya yang mocha tu... nahhh padan muka... sekarang kefeningan yang melampau, rasa nak muntah pon ada. Dahla puasa, so, taklehla nak jolok anak tekak, so that rasa mual ni lega sket... alahai Maz, janganla buat mender camni lagi.
Malam tadi buat majlis berbuka kat rumah. Sesuaikah guna perkataan majlis? Bolehla kot... Walaupun tetamunya cuma 5 orang, tapi meriahla jugak.
Segalanya bermula dengan kedatangan isteri Sheridan, Linda ke Miri buat kali pertama, tambahan pula keinginan Misri nak makan masakan rumah... alahaiii...
Misri tanya Syeka and I yang tengah berborak kosong... (more or less la, tak ingat scr exact)
Misri: ehhh u all masak tak kat rumah?
Syeka and I menjawab serentak, "Masak"
Misri: Kalau masak, sekali sekala tu hantarla kat rumah.
I: Alahhh kesiannya. Tak masak ke?
Misri: Selalu beli je. Aritu beli kat Bazar Ramadan petangnya, masa berbuka dah basi...

Rindu...
I am missing Kuching very much... lebih2 lagi masa Ramadan ni... alahai... Raya lama lagi, but still, rasa nak balik sangat2 :( Lagipun nak tengok rumah mama yang dah siap renovate...
Ramai org bercerita tentang persiapan raya sekarang ni. For me, rasanya segalanya dah diuruskan awal2 lagi. Malas nak berebut2 dengan orang ramai kat shopping complex masa ni. Baju kurung baju melayu semuanya dah diuruskan masa balik Kuching bulan 5 aritu. Baju irdina pulak dibeli masa kat KL aritu. Kasut Irdina pun dah beli, itupun dah dipakai gak, kesnya - masa jalan kat Pavilion dia asyik bukak selipar, so last2 mama singgah Mothercare belikan kasut :p baru sekali pakai, so rasanya takyahla nak membeli kasut raya pulak... 2-3 bulan karang sure tak muat lagi dah. Kasut mama? Tengokla nanti, kalau berselera nak beli baru, rasanya, belikan yang praktikal utk gi keja je kot... Kasut babah? Every year babah beli kasut, tak sure pulak tahun ni macamana...
Kek raya? 5 Kek Roll anekacorak and half layered cake. separuh lagi Kak Nor punya. Pastu nak beli jajan je kat Kuching. Sekarang ni org tak pandang biskut kuih sangat... org prefer kacang campur ikan bilis, jeruk2 buah dan macam2 titbits lagi.
Wuaaaa nak balik Kuching :((

Perihal Irdina
Rindu pulak rasanya dengan Irdina, walaupun baru je pukul 1 td balik from the babysitter's house.
Tadi pagi, Irdina nak pakai kasut terbalik, so mama tegur la, "Terbalik tu sayang"... dia terus tukar sendiri... waaaa pandainya anak mama... dah paham sangat dia apa org cakap...
Irdina ni pandai ambik hati orang… Kalau orang kasi apapa kat dia, dia akan cakap “macih” or kengkadang “teyo”.
Babah – Babah
Nenek – Nenek
Bucu – Ucu
Ami – Mummy
Atok – Tok (yang ni kita kena mention dulu, belum automatic)
Setiap kali dia habis bercakap dengan nenek, dia akan ulang balik apap nenek sebut,
“Babai, Nite, Ayeyem” : “Babai, Goodnite, I love You”.
Subhanallah.
Lagi satu benda yang Irdina suka buat ialah - MENGGIGIT... lepas dia gigit dia akan cakap, "o'oh, cacit jijit" means "o'oh, sakit digigit"...
Dia sekarang ni dah pandai plak nak mengikut mamanya pergi kerja masa mama singgah setiap tengahari. Pagi tak pulak dia meragam, tak sabar2 nak keluar kereta tatkala melihat Irah berlari2 menyambutnya kat porch tu adalah. Petang pulak, taknak masuk kereta, kalau masuk pun, tengok je kelibat rumah sendiri, terus meraung, nak ajak jalan dulu, biarlah kalau jalan keliling simpang tu je... alahai! Mamanya jarang ajak jalan2 ni, tapi keluarga babysitter selalu bawak jalan, tu yang terbiasa kot. Tapi sejak akhir2 ni telah keluar 'arahan' dari mama jangan bawak keluar sebab cuaca tak elok. Sekarang ni pun Irdina tengah selsema, sengau je bunyik suaranya yang memang dah serak2 basah itu...
Pagi semalam bawak Irdina pegi Klinik Harmoni kat Pekan Lutong tu, sunyi sepi je klinik pepagi. Kalau gi petang, sure penuh sampai jenuh menunggu. Kami dua beranak memborong ubat selsema dan batuk, just in case... sekarang ni musim demam bermaharajalela...
Kalau bangun lambat pas tu ok la jugak, tapi dia bangun tetap pkl 7.30... bulan2 puasa, di hujung minggu pulak tu, mama lepas subuh amik peluang nak tidur, anak dara pulak bangun... alahai...
Satu benda mama kena didik Irdina utk tak buat... "jangan salahkan benda lain"... kalau dia jatuh, dia cakap lantai yang "jaik" sambil pukul lantai [jaik means jahat]... kalau nenek marah dia buat something nakal, "nenek jaik"... kalau terhantuk dinding, dinding la yang "jaik"...

The most sensible advise about H1N1!
How to prevent H1N1 - An email forward is reproduced below:
"Friends,
Thanks to media hype about H1N1, several people who trust me have either approached or called me to advise. The hype in media about the utility of face masks and N95 respirators as a tool for general protection against H1N1 can't be deplored enough. Yesterday, a friend who listened wanted me to write down briefly what I advised so that he could tell others in similar words. Hence this short email to friends whom I have advised recently (and others whom I haven't yet). Please realize that this is not an official advice, especially the one about face masks or N95.
Most N95 respirators are designed to filter 95% particulates of 0.3µ, while the size of H1N1 virus is about 0.1µ. Hence, dependence on N95 to protect against H1N1 is like protecting against rain with an umbrella made of mosquito net.
Tamiflu does not kill but prevents H1N1 from further proliferation till the virus limits itself in about 1-2 weeks (its natural cycle). H1N1, like other Influenza A viruses, only infects the upper respiratory tract and proliferates (only) there. The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/ throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible not coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.
While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps - not fully highlighted in most official communications - can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):
1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications).
2. "Hands-off-the- face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat or bathe).
3. Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.
4. Similar to 3 above, clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. Not everybody may be good at Jala Neti or Sutra Neti (very good Yoga asanas to clean nasal cavities), but blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.
5. Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.
6. Drink as much of warm liquids as you can. Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.
7. All these are simple ways to prevent, within means of most households, and certainly much less painful than to wait in long queues outside public hospitals.
Happy breathing!
Best regards.

Tribute to a Friend
We lost our friend, a colleague today...
I was shocked to learn about her death this morning... She's still young and she has suffered from cancer (from breast to bone) for more than 2 years now... but, she died of pneumonia... they said it was H1N1...
Rest in Peace Agnes L.U.
Update:
Actually, she did not die from H1N1... she died of lung collapse due to infection, side effect from her cancer. Went to her wake just now... not many people there, but people are still coming from all over Sarawak to see her for the last time. Her sister, who works for Shell Oman will be arriving at KLIA tonight. Her funeral is set on Friday...

Updates again...
1. About Irdina
She started to know / feel the meaning of "FEAR"... it's hard to get her to sleep. She will cry and hug me tightly... I am not sure whether this is normal. Read from Dr. Hamit Arshat's website that this is normal for a child past the age of 1.5 y.o... She understands now... about why? how? what? She's learning things at an accelerated rate from now onwards, so, fear is one of the normal reflexes...
She's not medicine friendly now... I have to force her to take the panadol syrup this morning... hiyyyaaaa...
Remember this entry?
She can now pronounce these words:
our words vs. hers
1. nenek - nenek
2. atuk - tok mama / tok nina
3. bucu - dedek mama
4. ami - mami nina
5. kakak - kakak
6. sakit- tacit / cacit
7. kaki - taki
8. terkejut - tejut (sambil gosok dada)
9. bawak /dukung Irdina - bak nina
10. takut - tatut
11. memasak - cook
14. pintu - tu
15. TV - bi
16. takmo - takmau
17. baby - baby
18. bawah / debah (BS) - bah
19. lotion - yem
20. tido - tido
21. susu - nenen
22. berus gigi - ayom tigi
2. About friends
I was very sad yesterday... a friend misunderstood me. I might have lost one! Now, friends are one of the things in life i can't afford to lose! But today, i regain my sanity. Maybe, life is that way indeed :(
3. Wednesday

Vocabulary...
Banyak dah vocab yang disebutnya sekarang...
Ketara sekali of coursela mama, babah and kakak (semua org termasuk gambar budak-budak dipanggilnya kakak). Dia bahasakan dirinya "Nina", N tu disengaukan sikit, so, rasanya dia nak sebut Dina kot... Kalau tengok her own photo or her mirror reflection, dia terus cakap, "Nina"... Kalau ditanya, "What is your name?"
SATU, DUA... maka dia akan jawab "TIGA"... dicapital letterkan sebab kena cakap kuat2 baru dia sebut, kalau cakap slow dia kekdg jawab kekdg dia buat derk je... Kalau sebut ONE, TWO ataupun A, B... dia tetap jawab TIGA!!!
Lagi satu, Irdina terer cakap thru phone, biasalah kalau dah long distance ni kan... Hello (dgn lemah lembutnya), and Babai kira dah terer sangatla...
If you say, "Irdina angkat tangan"... she will angkat both her tangan and kaki ;) But if you say, mana tangan or mana kaki, she will show you the right body part. She is still confused with mata and telinga though :D
Favorite vocabs Irdina - "Maok" (M tu di sabdukan, tebal sikitla bunyinya) and "Noooo" maksudnya takmo la tu... segalanya dia cakap maok or no... kalau dia nak benda, dia tunjuk and sebut "ya"... Ya dalam BS maksudnya "itu"... Kalau dia nak air selain dari susu, dia akan sebut, "ek ya" or maksudnya "air itu"... but sebut "susu" tak pernahla pulak... alahai... dulu ada gak dia sebut "neng" but sekarang ni dia tunjuk carik botol susu and bagi kat kita, mintak buatkan la tu...
If "Maok" is for takmo, then "aok" is for "ya"... "Dah" for "sudah", "yom" for"belum"...
What else? ohhh yaaa... another favorite - "TIDOooo"... kalau mama masih baca buku tak tidur tidur, dia akan sebut TIDOooo tu dengan nada seakan marah... ahahaha...
String of words?
And the best ever feeling when she pronounces the "aeyeyo" for "I LOVE YOU"...
Semoga anak mama sentiasa sihat dan ceria...

Adohhh sakitnya...
Last 2 nights, Irdina pecahkan my Clinique - Simply perfume. Maka, berbau wangilah seluruh rumahku... alahai anak mama, kecik2 lagi dah suka pakai minyak wangi. Every morning mintak mama semburkan minyak wangi kat baju dia jugak... pastu nak pakai lipstickla... maka, secara tidak sengaja, terjatuhlah minyak wangi itu dari tangannya yang kiut, and she blurted out, "oh-oh"... nak marah pon tak jadi... lagipun bila dia jatuhkan barang2 tak sengaja rasanya tak elokla sangat2 nak dimarah kan?
Dan semalam, kakiku tertusuk serpihan kaca... sakit ;( banyak darah =((... Irdina pon picit kepala mama bila mama kata kaki mama sakit... ahahaha...

Shocked...
Sepu called me just now...
Sepu: Yang, kita ada berita buruk ni...
Me: Apa? Micheal Jackson meninggal?
Sepu: Sayang ni spoil je...
I laughed, but deep inside, i also feel a bit sad... ermmm... i dont really adore Michael Jackson, but nobody can deny that he's a legend. And having a legend passed so suddenly is definitely shocking.
Somebody asked me about his religion just now. And i answered, "lets just observe on how he's buried"... This will shed some light, hopefully.

Name it anything...
I have made a midyear resolution OR plan OR pledge OR dream, to be achieved in 2010... what it is... let me keep it to myself, and will certainly blurt it out here once the actual progress started.

Cuti Sekali Seminggu?
Amah cuti sekali seminggu?
This will help untuk meningkatkan mutu kerja.
And let them choose whether : to use immediately or to accumulate for bigger occasions like Hari Raya or balik kampung. But, from our experience, bila amah sudah berkumpul sesama mereka, mereka akan jadi lebih daring and cunning sometimes. Actually, only some of them are like that, but people tend to spread bad things faster than good... ada juga yang baik...
Same goes to the majikan.
Apapun, this is just my opinion. Janganla sampai terlebih cuti, and janganlah pulak sampai tak ada cuti langsung. Bawalah amah tu sekali sekala having fun at places - outing with the rest of the family, and kekadang tu treat them with surprises - presents or any sorts of treats you may think of. Appreciate them, and hopefully, they will learn to appreciate us as well.

My Gawai Holiday... Not so good, but not bad at all...
My leave was from 29 May to 07 June 2009.
Trip to KL on Friday, 29 May at 11am, Irdina didn't sleep throughout the flight, but it was not that bad as she is sitting on her own seat. She was entertained by an Uncle Saddam (a retired policeman in Myy), who was sitting next to her, and a couple with 2 little kids sitting on the same lane. Meeting new friends made my day... [:) No. 1].
Arriving KLIA at 2.30pm, meeting Sepu after a month [:) No. 2], we went straightaway to KLCC, not to shop, but instead to wait for Sepu finish his work before going home as we are moving to our new house that evening [:) No. 3]. Sepu had so much to do at the office that Irdina and I had to endure long hours circling KLCC [:( No. 1] . 7.30pm, we had dinner at Signature Food Court and went back home. Luckily Irdina behaved herself.
Saturday, We had our lunch at Ayam Kampung Rest. in Puchong, and went straight to Mydin to do some shopping. But, unfortunately, the jam was so bad that we ended up cancelling the plan [:( No. 2], and went to Gombak instead. Due to the bad jam, and also got lost somewhere in Gombak, we reached the Dentist at the closing time of 6pm. Luckily the Doctor is a really dedicated Dr, he did my teeth, still cheerfully, completing the task at around 8pm [:) No. 4]. From Gombak, Sepu drove us back to Puchong Tesco for some household shopping. Ended up at home soon before midnight, with cranky Irdina to soothe.
Sunday, Sepu promised us an unlimited (time wise) excursion to Mydin (after the failed attempt yesterday) after coming back from work [:( No. 3]. The boss called him again for some updates while we were there despite him having to go to work at 7am on Sunday, but we managed to shop without thinking about the work (he's feeling guilty i presumed) [:) No. 4]. .
Monday, Auntie Syeka visited Irdina in the afternoon [:) No. 5]. , and we managed to find the way to the pool and playground. The father came back home late from work, but we managed to squeeze time to visit my cousin Syah at USJ [:) No. 6]. The children were having fun playing, while the adults catching up with news.
Tuesday, Irdina and I went to KLCC again. Lunchdate with Yam (my primary and seconday schoolmate) at Chilli's [:) No. 7]. , dinner with Ian Manjaji & wife, Anne [:) No. 8] at Chakri Palace. It was fun meeting old friends... Before going home, stumbled upon Bu Mah (my father's sister) and family [:) No. 9]. Stayed for a while with them at KLCC Parents Room, at the same time, freshing up Irdina.
Wednesday, Sepu wanted to surprise me by taking leave today [:) No. 10], but was summoned back to work until 2pm [:( No. 5]. Pity him... pity me... but atleast we could have the afternoon together [:) No. 11]. We went to Carrefour Subang...
Thursday, to KK... [:) No. 11]. And post on KK Trip coming soon...

Milestone 1 and Milestone 2
Another 2 kgs to achieve my Milestone 1 - Pre-Pregnancy weight
And another 14kgs to go towards Milestone 2 - Pre-Marriage weight
If i want to add Milestone 3, my lowest achievable weight in 1996 - i will need to toss away 8kgs from Milestone 2 weight.
But i think, Milestone 2 is sufficient.
I need to do this, FOR ME!

I think i know why...
-1-
I know why am i not feeling very happy today despite the fact that today is my birthday... The manpower report came in yesterday afternoon, but i have only got the chance to read through it this morning... Can i move to KL in this condition?
Recession recession go away... never come again even for a day!
-2-
Some small things people do today really made my day...
My colleagues were preparing for a surprise birthday party next door when i came in. They were really surprised to see me at the door and seem to be at lost of words. I talked to Dave without realising that there's a cake on Abg. M's file cabinet. And suddenly,
Syl: Sharifah, you should have not came in now, we are in the midst preparing for a birthday party for you.
Me: Ohhh...
I was dumbfounded, and we all laughed really hard.
Me: I didn't notice the cake actually Syl, and have just about to leave the room... you have blown your own secret.
We celebrated my birthday... at the office, for the first time. Thank you guys... am really lucky to have all of you as colleagues...
-3-
Bought chocolate cake to celebrate with Irdina at the BS' house. At least, this birthday, i dont feel too lonely. I could celebrate it with my friends and so called family. Fatihah would be very happy to find the cake upon returning from scholl, i bet!
Diet Progress?
I am on my 9kgs mark today... Well done Maz... should have done this long time ago, but its never too late to start things... Hope i will do better, cos i am aiming to get back in that old wedding dress this AidilFitri...

I found these weird:
1st Situation:
I was in a lift, and then a man came in.
Me: Hi (its our custom here to acknowledge everybody)
Him: Hi
After a while,
Him: You with which department?
Me: B1* Project
Him: owhhh… Project? As Engineer?
Me: No
Him: owhhh…
He stopped there, nothing more interesting things to talk about I guess. Or was it the trip in the lift was too short for him to continue on talking?
2nd Situation (happened to a friend of mine, we are on the same job description):
Engineer: CY, please come down and collect my Change Order request.
CY: Oh OK.
Why should CY go down to get the form? The requestor should come up and send the request form to CY. That’s the way it should be. We are colleagues.
CY: Sharifah, bla bla bla (telling me about what happened). I only realized now that I should have asked her to come up, and tell her, that I am also an engineer by background and experience, but now doing this SCM thing.
Me: Don’t lah CY… You don’t have to justify yourself to this kind of people. You know who you are. But if somebody ever asks you again, let him or her pass the form to you instead of the other way around.
Do I have to justify to people (especially here in SH*LL) that I am also an engineer by background and past experience but now doing SCM things. I don’t think I have to. Who makes Engineer so superior that SCM Executives are to be looked down to? I found this weird… I know that engineers have good pay. We have good pay as well, as per our qualifications and experiences.
Have I jumped into conclusion too quick here? Maybe the 1st person was really looking forward to get out from the lift that he lost words on what to say to me upon knowing that I was not an engineer. Or, was he interested in me, terkelu lidah untuk bicara? Ahahahahaha… erkssss :p
How about the 2nd person? Maybe she’s too tired to come up here? Only one level up? Who knows? She knows!

News
Read in newspaper today, about a girl who wrapped her newborn baby, in a garbage bag, soon after birth, while still alive. 3 days after, the baby was found dead, due to suffocation. What a mother could do that to a child? Ya Allah, what will happen to this society if a mother could kill her own child to keep secret her sins? A mother would do everything to protect her child...
I could feel my blood boiling while reading the news. I have always wanted lots of children of my own, and the dream came true only after 3 years of marriage. All those hoping and prayers, to hold my own child at last paid off, with the birth of our beloved Irdina.
I pledged myself not to harm my children in anyway possible, physically and emotionally, hence i am asking your guidance Ya Allah, please lead me to be a good mother to my children, and my children to be good, to us their parents, to the society, and above all, to you, the Creator and the Din, Islam.

REUNION
I like reunion… especially the ‘REMEMBER WHEN’ talk…
MOTHER’s DAY CELEBRATION
Would it be too late for me writing this entry today? For me, everyday is Mother’s Day, as there’s not a single day when I don’t think about my daughter. We have always been together since day 1, never been apart. Separation makes the heart grow fonder, so it was said, but I do believe that even when together, mother’s love towards her child keeps on growing. A child will always be a baby in her mother’s eyes, no matter how grown up she has become. Mother would always want to give/do everything she could for her children…
Enough said… here are photos taken during our Mother’s Day celebration in Kuching.
My grandmother cutting the cake before cue... Irdina eyeing the cake... she's one of the first to taste it (she insisted)...
4 generations - my nenek, my mother, my cousin (my generation, i was busy taking the photo), and my daughter...
You're the best nenek...

To all mothers… HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY… EVERYDAY!

Aedun is now somebody's fiance
6 of us (includes Babah, Mama, Dedek Emejay, Dedek Ina, Irdina and I) went to Kpg Sejingkat, on Saturday, 09-05-09 to 'meminang' our beloved brother's 'buah hati'. It was not that formal, as the girl's family opted for a simple 'ceremony', so did my parents... so, we did not prepare 'dulang hantaran' as per the Malay customs, we did not do the 'berbalas pantun memetik bunga di taman' session. But instead, we did it our way, and hopefully, for the wedding, i could do more for my brother, our way - SIMPLE yet MEANINGFUL...
Thanks to my sister Emejay for accompanying me to do the shopping - last minute, on the day itself... and for guiding ways in Kuching (i am still well versed with the roads, but not the shopping complexes - where to find these and thats)...
Here are some photos taken:

Alone in the office... (2)
I am celebrating my 2nd day without anybody else in my office, including Shuk. 2 more freedom days to savour.
I have been very busy today... plus no more FB at the office, my day alone becomes a bit boring... Thats the reason of this blog entry. Not that i dont have much in my plate right now, but this entry is rather a platform for me to communicate (this room is so quietttt)...
What should i talk about... ok, lets talk about my plan for the weekend... ermmm... with Sepu coming, there will be lots of jalan2 for Irdina i hope... thats it? Jalan-jalan? Anything else? I'd be very busy maintaining 2 babies, thats for sure... what else?
About my diet regime... I have lost 7 kgs as of today... 3 months passed and only 7 kgs? This is through controlling of what i eat alone... If i exercise, i am sure i could lose more... ehehehe, iyaka ;) ? I have one more month to go before the grand reunion in KK... Hopefully this month marks a rapid plunge in my weight, another 7 kgs maybe? erkkk... I wanna look good in those reunion photos... wuaaa... please!
I have not chosen any dress to wear to the reunion yet... What i have in mind is to make one new outfit... raya is not that far away, so, this so called baju kurung moden for the reunion will not come to waste (hopefully)...
Cant wait to meet oldfriends... faster faster 5th June (faster faster weight lost as well ;) )

Adooiiiiii... this could happen anywhere...
A NURSE fed a premature baby potentially-deadly FABRIC CONDITIONER instead of milk, The Sun can reveal.
The toxic Comfort Pure was poured into the newborn boy’s stomach via a feeding tube in a mix-up after his mum brought in the liquid to add to his blankets.
Staff only realised the mistake after he frothed at the mouth and started vomiting in the Special Care Baby Unit.
Fabric softener contains chemicals called surfactants that can be fatal to humans.
Bosses at Luton and Dunstable NHS Hospital blamed the mother of the tot, named only as Baby Hunter, for bringing in the Comfort in a baby’s bottle.
But yesterday a furious nurse said colleagues should have double-checked before using it.
The baby unit source said: “It was stupid of the parent to bring in fabric softener in a baby’s bottle to give to nurses.
“But this is a worried mother who wanted to make sure her baby had soft blankets.
“For a nurse to pick up an unlabelled bottle and not check it is also negligent.
“Fabric softener doesn’t even look like milk. It’s pearly and gloopy and has a strong perfume.
“It is an outrage. If this baby had died, the hospital would have a lot of questions to answer.”
The blunder happened last Thursday evening at the hospital in Luton, Beds.
The local NHS Trust said in a statement: “Some fabric conditioner which was put in a baby’s feeding bottle by a mother may have been fed to her baby.
“As a precaution, the hospital sought the advice of the National Poisons Unit and the good news is that the baby experienced no lasting ill effects.”
Sun doctor Carol Cooper said Baby Hunter was “very lucky” to escape serious harm.
She said: “There have been cases of people dying after ingesting fabric softeners. I’m stunned that something like this could happen — it’s pretty outrageous.”
Luton and Dunstable Hospital hit headlines six months ago after two premature babies in the Special Care Baby Unit died from an outbreak of E. coli on the ward.

I love adventure! I got it from MoMMy grandma said!!!
On Friday, Irdina got her head stuck onto the door grill at the BS’s house… They did not alarm me at the office; I only got to know the incident noon, during my visiting hour. She suffered bruises, and the right side of her face swollen, but all were just mild. Even though she was back to her ownself within seconds after the incident, she was then afraid to go back to the door/grill (phuhhhh lega)…
Irdina is quite an adventurer, curious to know everything around her, so does a lot of other 14 months old babies out there… eventhough this thing could have been avoided with some proactive measures, but Irdina sure have learned something useful. By exploring things, she diversified her knowledge but hopefully, she will not have to face difficult situation like this anymore.
And today, I had to bring her to CAMC as the area between her eyes (upper part of the nose) were swollen due to her knocking over a plate in my hand during feeding time. The Doctor called her Supergirl when I told him what had happened (plus what happened on Friday).
Ya Allah, please let her be safe in the environment that I have let her got into, and any future environment or arrangement, please watch over her and let her be safe… Please Allah… Thank you.

I turned off my lights...
Some people said its just gimmick... but for me, earth hour is a way to tell people that we could do something for our beloved EARTH... Bumi kita!!! Having earth hour or not, we still have to do our part, to make sure our children be given the chance to in future still have a better place to live in... Please stop all the filthy talking about other people's efforts when you have none of your own... and even if you have one (or more), and have been doing yours, let people have the freedom to do theirs.
I hope for a better earth... maybe we could do something, maybe we will find something to save the earth from deteriorating... We learned since childhood that one day there will be no more dunia fana... but i have not heard that Allah will still let his hamba suffer when they have done all that is right... We will find ways to live when its not yet time to be gone...
Allah takkan mengubah hambanya melainkan hambanya berusaha mengubah dirinya sendiri...

Words of Wisdom from Lee Kuan Yew's Daughter
By Lee Wei Ling (I got this from forwarded email)... something really worth reading...
In 2007, in an end-of-year message to the staff of the National Neuroscience Institute, I wrote: 'Whilst boom time in the public sector is never as booming as in the private sector, let us not forget that boom time is eventually followed by slump time. Slump time in the public sector is always less painful compared to the private sector.'
Slump time has arrived with a bang.
While I worry about the poorer Singaporeans who will be hit hard, perhaps this recession has come at an opportune time for many of us. It will give us an incentive to reconsider our priorities in life. Decades of the good life have made us soft. The wealthy especially, but also the middle class in Singapore, have had it so good for so long, what they once considered luxuries, they now think of as necessities.
A mobile phone, for instance, is now a statement about who you are, not just a piece of equipment for communication. Hence many people buy the latest model though their existing mobile phones are still in perfect working order. A Mercedes-Benz is no longer adequate as a status symbol. For millionaires who wish to show the world they have taste, a Ferrari or a Porsche is deemed more appropriate.
The same attitude influences the choice of attire and accessories. I still find it hard to believe that there are people carrying handbags that cost more than thrice the monthly income of a bus driver, and many more times that of the foreign worker labouring in the hot sun, risking his life to construct luxury condominiums he will never have a chance to live in.
The media encourages and amplifies this ostentatious consumption. Perhaps it is good to encourage people to spend more because this will prevent the recession from getting worse. I am not an economist, but wasn't that the root cause of the current crisis - Americans spending more than they could afford to?
I am not a particularly spiritual person. I don't believe in the supernatural and I don't think I have a soul that will survive my death. But as I view the crass materialism around me, I am reminded of what my mother once told me: 'Suffering and deprivation is good for the soul.'
My family is not poor, but we have been brought up to be frugal. My parents and I live in the same house that my paternal grandparents and their children moved into after World War II in 1945. It is a big house by today's standards, but it is simple - in fact, almost to the point of being shabby.
Those who see it for the first time are astonished that Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew's home is so humble. But it is a comfortable house, a home we have got used to. Though it does look shabby compared to the new mansions on our street, we are not bothered by the comparison.
Most of the world and much of Singapore will lament the economic downturn. We have been told to tighten our belts. There will undoubtedly be suffering, which we must try our best to ameliorate. But I personally think the hard times will hold a timely lesson for many Singaporeans, especially those born after 1970 who have never lived through difficult times.
No matter how poor you are in Singapore, the authorities and social groups do try to ensure you have shelter and food. Nobody starves in Singapore. Many of those who are currently living in mansions and enjoying a luxurious lifestyle will probably still be able to do so, even if they might have to downgrade from wines costing $20,000 a bottle to $10,000 a bottle. They would hardly notice the difference.
Being wealthy is not a sin. It cannot be in a capitalist market economy. Enjoying the fruits of one's own labour is one's prerogative and I have no right to chastise those who choose to live luxuriously.
But if one is blinded by materialism, there would be no end to wanting and hankering. After the Ferrari, what next? An Aston Martin? After the Hermes Birkin handbag, what can one upgrade to?
Neither an Aston Martin nor an Hermes Birkin can make us truly happy or contented. They are like dust, a fog obscuring the true meaning of life, and can be blown away in the twinkling of an eye.
When the end approaches and we look back on our lives, will we regret the latest mobile phone or luxury car that we did not acquire? Or would we prefer to die at peace with ourselves, knowing that we have lived lives filled with love, friendship and goodwill, that we have helped some of our fellow voyagers along the way and that we have tried our best to leave this world a slightly better place than how we found it?
We know which is the correct choice - and it is within our power to make that choice.
In this new year, burdened as it is with the problems of the year that has just ended, let us again try to choose wisely.
To a considerable degree, our happiness is within our own control, and we should not follow the herd blindly.

Say Thank You or atleast SMILE :)
Bought cake yesterday...
While waiting, helped one girl to put a big cake into a box (kepoh me, not my cake, but the box kept on moving... can't stand to just watch... so i helped her hold the box while she slide the cake in)... then, she closed the box and asked who's cake was that, and somebody else answered...
and POFFFF she's gone back to the kitchen... without even a smile on her face, without even acknowledging that i was there beside her... what was i hoping for by helping her? nothing i guess... errr NO... manners girl manners!!! A smile maybe? IDEALLY - That's just the way it should be - Smile and say thank you when people helped you (no matter whether you have asked for the favour or the person voluntered)...
Something to ponder... I will always teach Irdina to say thank you, small gesture may it be... but it matters... Irdina, please baby, please grow up as a girl who have good manners... amin!
Moral of the story? Don't Kepoh, no?

A smile maybe? IDEALLY - That's just the way it should be - Smile and say thank you when people helped you (no matter whether you have asked for the favour or the person voluntered)...
Something to ponder... I will always teach Irdina to say thank you, small gesture may it be... but it matters... Irdina, please baby, please grow up as a girl who have good manners... amin!
Moral of the story? Don't Kepoh, no?

Salahkah?
Is it wrong to write your blog in English? Nope... How about writing in an imperfect English?
I dont think it is wrong at all... thats my opinion...
Eventhough your English teacher may cringe reading your blog, thats not the main point... What matters most is why do you want to write? If you write just to show off your flawless English, then it would be a shame if you make even a single mistake... BUT, if you are writing blog with the sole intention of sharing your thoughts, your stories... i do not think writing in the so called imperfect English (with wrong grammars and vocabularies context) could hinder you from telling your stories at its best...
Read somewhere while blog-hopping, comments about people writing in poor English... ohhh goshhh... this is not an English class... People write about something... people talk, as broken as the English might be, but thats the best practise they could ever think of... When i read such terrible comments i must say from these blogs (eventhough they are not only commenting about language, they are commenting about everything), i can't keep myself from thinking, "i am not free from being judged by people whom are strangers to me"...
So, what should i do? Close my blog and let only these 'clever' people do the blogging? Or write in Bahasa Melayu, or Bahasa Sarawak?
NOPE, i will keep on blogging. This is the only way i could communicate with my long lost friends, this is the only way i could talk to myself without any consequences of people calling me crazy a.k.a. gila... and this is one of the ways of telling my husband news about me and irdina...
I like to read blogs written in PURRRRFECT English... but that alone doesn't stop me from reading the so called imperfect blogs... and for some of the commented ones, i even enjoyed reading them...
ohhh... i might be feeling a little bit melancholic over readings such comments (in other peoples blogs actually), plus pitying the blog owner(s) to have to endure such blunt behavior...
Dont judge my English aaaa ;) :p

Roadslide again...
This time, Jalan Miri-Bekenu...

News and photo from Beria Harian online...
Sembilan penumpang selamat selepas terperangkap 30 minit

Banjero... Kampung kita naik air...
Flood in Kuching has always been bad... I could still remember the big flood in 2004... That was the only time i am around to witness the flood and the aftermath with my own two eyes... Pity abah and mama... have to face this flood without all the children by their side... me and Dedek in Miri while Aedun is in Melaka... Luckily Aedun's friends were there to help them to lift heavy things...
I have not the time to elaborate now... Though I've been doing this a lot lately (posting links of other's), but if you really want to know how the flood affected Kuching City... you may click here or here.

Palestine... U'd find peace ONE DAY...
My heart breaks looking at these photos... especially the first =(
Actually, i dont really take note whether these are palestinian children or they are israelis children... the fact that these are children, not the armies was the reason for this pain in the chest...

I got this from here:
The "Israeli Defense Forces (IDF)" on Sunday released the pictures of some of Hamas’ most wanted “terrorists” it said it has killed since the start of the Israeli onslaught in the Gaza Strip more two weeks ago.
An Israeli spokesman told foreign reporters in Jerusalem that the world community, especially Americans and Europeans, shouldn’t be deceived by the ostensibly young age of the killed terrorists.
“They may look young to you and me. But these people are terrorists at heart. Don’t look at their deceptively innocent faces, try to think of the demons inside each of them.”
The spokesman, Nachman Abramovic, said he was “absolutely certain” that these people would grow to be “evil terrorists if we allowed them to grow.”
“If you were in our shoes, would you allow them to grow to kill your children or finish them off right now”?
Asked if he was worried about possible criticisms from the international community, Abramovic said he was not worried a bit because “We are only defending ourselves.”
“Would you apologize for defending yourself if another person attacked you without any provocation,” the Israeli spokesman asked an American reporter.
Impressed by the answer, the American reporter said “You are right, Sir, absolutely.”
The IDF spokesman added that Israel didn’t really target civilians in Gaza and that the world should fall into trap of Hamas's propaganda.
“I challenge serious news media to prove that we have killed a single innocent civilian in Gaza .
“Don’t tell me Aljazeera said this or CNN said that. You know all these people are anti-Semites and can’t be relied upon to tell the truth.”
He added that in any case, honest and moral people ought to differentiate between “true human beings” and “human animals.”
“We do kill human animals, and we do so unapologetically. Besides who in the West is in a position to lecture us on killing human animals. After all, whose hands are cleaned?”
Another Israeli spokesman, Tzipora Menache, said she was not immensely worried about negative ramifications that Operation Cast Lead might have on the way the Obama administration would view Israel .
“You know very well, and the stupid Americans know equally well, that we control their government, irrespective of who sits in the White House.”
“You see, I know it and you know it that no American president can be in a position to challenge us even if we do the unthinkable.”
Asked if she was not worried that her remarks would cause a public relations disaster, Menache said “what can they do to us. We control congress, we control the media, we control show biz, we control everything in America.
“In America you can criticize G-d, but you can’t criticize Israel .”
Now, after this imaginary but very realistic introduction, we shall view the pictures of these “evil terrorists.”
You may say what you want, do what you want, based on who you are... You'd definitely say something contradicting each other (as if nobody would have guessed)... but please leave your children out of this hatred? Please...
My exrumet wrote something on Palestine too... click here...
This one is good too...
