Today, I am wearing high-heeled sandal for the first time after a year… Luckily, I preserved my pre-pregnancy shoes and sandals well enough that they still look as good…
Irdina is today 3 months and 12 days old… and she’s becoming more mobile. She turned herself last Thursday (17/04) while I was busy taking all her things in from the car… I was really surprised to see her ‘turned-turtle’ on the floor…

We went to see Dr. Cheah at about 7pm last night, complaining about Irdina’s blocked nose. She gave Irdina some medicine to clear the blockage. Alhamdulillah… So, last night was the first night after 2 weeks I slept like a baby (as if)… Irdina slept at around 9.30pm, woke up at 3am to breastfeed, slept again and woke up with a smile at 6.30am… She’s more cheerful now that she can breathe without difficulty, and she’s able to feed while I’m sitting down. All this while, she nursed while mama’s standing up… building muscle to mama’s arms, eh baby?
Irdina’s babah will be coming home tomorrow night. This weekend would be a hectic one, as my parents will also be coming from Kuching. Mama has never been so eager coming here… Irdina is soo lucky then…
I am not so busy as yesterday… my STC contract will expire 01/05/2008, and the new Regular Contract will take place the next day. I have not received anything from HR, but whatever it is, I have to come to work this Friday.
I thought of doing my ‘mama’s work’ at the pantry, but I have heard about a planned fire drill this morning. It would be a mess should the drill starts while I am still pumping.

3 days ago my husband complained that I spent too much time with the baby, and have forgotten about lots of things, such as this blog. He also mentioned that he would read my blog whenever he misses me… but it has been more than a month since the last entry. Pity him. But more, pity me. How could I tell everybody that I am really exhausted? Not everybody could or would want to take care of a baby by herself, without anybody to relieve her when she goes to the toilet, or when she feels like she needs to take a nap. I sleep when the baby sleeps (after doing all the chores needed doing, take bath, call hubby, call mama and bla bla bla), and certainly will have to stay awake when she’s awake. I really do not have time to do blogs… here at work, I need to work, and frankly, I was quite busy last few weeks. I am not the kind that could sleep happily while leaving the baby playing alone… I have been waiting so long for Irdina… and I will treasure every second of the time I spend with her.
Eveytime Sepu comes back from KL, I will need to take care of two babies, and the chores would surely be doubled. But again, I love being with the two persons (out of seven) that I love the most. I do not want to complain… and still I am not complaining… I have nothing to complain actually. I still could have my sleep, and go to work, and have my salary at the end of the month… what I should complain is the pressure I have at work right now… ermmm… it’s a human factor actually… And sure, the stress is building up.
Sayang… sorry if you are feeling neglected. Give me time to adjust with this multiplication of responsibility. I have lots of things in my plate right now, and I have to get used to this situation fast… please be patient. I am getting good at what I am doing and I am sure that I will get better.

Starting again...
It has been a while since that last entry of mine. I was quite busy, with the baby, and now resuming work. Sleep deprivation has been a game I master since the day Irdina was born. But now, she’s getting the momentum of living outside the womb. She’s doing great and playing with her is really fun, great fun.
She’s asleep right now. Actually, she has been sleeping since 5pm, ‘woke up’ at 6.55pm to breastfeed and continues on sleeping. She has learned to sleep ‘through’ the night (typical meaning of the word through the night = a series of 2-3 hours of sleeps from night till morning).
As for me, I am still in a recuperating mode, but coping just fine. I have not done any exercise except for carrying a now 5.53kgs baby since I gave birth. I have not even checked my weight. I am waiting for the once in a while pain to subside ultimately. When will this happen? Soon, hopefully.
I have not updated the old wives tales blog down there but will do so soon. I can only do chores while Irdina is sleeping. And to be frank, she seems to only sleep at night, and at night, I’d be sleeping too. So, active blogging would be withheld for a while. I’d be logging in once in a while though, to share things worth sharing.
Last Thursday, I went to work, and it was great to meet everybody again. At last, something fresh, after 2.5 months of staying at home. But I do miss the baby, a lot. That day, I went out at 10.45 to send back pumped breast milk, ended up not wanting to leave the baby till lunch time is over. It’s hard to leave her at home. If I could bring her to work and do (concentrate on) my work as usual, I’d bring her (as if it’s allowed!!!)…
My Contract ends next month. Shukri has not started applying the extension but he has been asking around, especially the TA, Syed. Hopefully everything goes well, or I might have to activate my Plan B. Should I need to start the Plan B, I’d be taking my May leave to move things. It would be great to be near Sepu all the time!
Actually, I start to write again after that hint from Sheridan. Then I realized, I was so obsessed with the baby and forgotten about lots of things. That’s why Sepu keeps complaining that I love Irdina more than him… ahahaha… I love you sayang, more than words can say, even more than before Irdina was born… Irdina needs the most delicate attention right now. We’ll improve soon, don’t worry. I am not only overjoyed, but also in an over-fatigue state right now. Give me some times ok? We’ll again enjoy doing things that has been left forgotten since my pregnancy… Go on vacation for example? GO Korea GO!
Need to stop now… I got something to do before I myself go to sleep. Irdina is in her NREM state, and I could not wait to join her… take care…
